Furthermore, my father worked in the elementary school’s administrative office managing school funds. His meticulousness, his ability to find even the smallest shortfall of a single won, and his integrity made him a highly respected public servant at the school. Second, I have excellent rapport with people around me. As the financial crisis at the end of 2008 worsened the securities market, forcing me to consider early retirement, a recommendation from a client opened the opportunity to become the branch manager of a newly opened branch. During my studies abroad, my family’s financial situation was tight, so I had to earn my own living expenses. While searching for part-time work, I found an opportunity through an advertisement for an assistant electrician. This allowed me to experience America in ways I couldn’t at school, through direct conversations with Americans. Most importantly, it gave me confidence in practical everyday English, reducing communication difficulties. After a year and a half of consistent learning and work, I mastered diverse skills ranging from residential electrical wiring installations to commercial lighting system setups.
While not directly applicable to securities work, I gave my utmost effort to master these skills, even outside my major field. Throughout my employment, I dedicated myself fully to my duties as an electrical assistant. Although I did not major in electrical engineering, this experience has given me my own unique skill set and made me appreciate the appeal of an active and challenging life.
