Growth Process

My father is a surgeon. He once served as a professor at a university hospital, where he was strict with students. He currently runs a private hospital and serves as its director. The medical profession is a field where even the slightest error is unacceptable. A tiny mistake can have a critical impact on a patient’s life.
Now that he directly manages the hospital and handles most tasks himself, he has become gentler than before. However, the father of my childhood was extremely strict. Especially when I was young, he would severely scold me for even minor mistakes, which often made me feel intimidated. My mother would plead with him, “Don’t be too hard on the child,” but sometimes she would get scolded too.
Father was especially strict about personal hygiene. After going out, we absolutely had to wash our hands and feet, and there were no exceptions to this rule. But one day, while Father was away on a business trip, I thought, “Just this one day won’t hurt,” and skipped washing my hands and feet. But perhaps when you stop doing what you’re used to, trouble follows? The very next day, I caught the flu and felt terribly sick.
When Father returned home and saw my condition, he was terribly worried. I felt even more withdrawn, fearing another scolding, which actually made my illness worse. But Father took me to the hospital. He left Mother at home and personally nursed me himself. Fortunately, my fever broke and my body gradually stabilized, allowing me to open my eyes. The moment I saw my father standing before me, fear that I might be scolded again made tears well up and spill over.
But contrary to my expectations, my father embraced me without saying a word. Then he gently asked, “Do you understand what you did wrong?” I honestly told him I hadn’t washed my hands and feet after going out, ignoring his instructions. To which he replied, “You know your mistake and had the courage not to lie. That’s enough.” He then added, “Now that you know your mistake, don’t repeat the same error again.”
Since that day, I have always strived to keep my promise to my father. The principles that even small rules must be followed, that mistakes should be honestly admitted rather than concealed with lies, and that once a fault is recognized, it must be corrected immediately, became deeply ingrained values for me.
That day’s experience, where I came to understand the sincere love and concern hidden within my father’s strictness, was the greatest turning point that shaped me into who I am today. My father’s teachings were not mere discipline, but a compass guiding the direction of my life. Following that compass, I continue to live today without forgetting principles and honesty.

Life Creed

Among my favorite Bible verses is this: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.” I believe this means that those who earnestly seek will ultimately obtain what they desire, those who persistently search without giving up will inevitably discover something, and doors that were once closed will finally open for those who keep knocking. In other words, it signifies that nothing is truly ‘impossible’ in this world.
I have made this verse the central value of my life. It’s not merely about financial success or external achievements. I live by the belief that “effort always yields results.” Even if the outcome isn’t immediately visible, I trust that sincere, wholehearted effort will eventually return in some form. That’s why I always strive to do my absolute best in any given situation. Even when the outcome is unpredictable, I believe the process itself refines and grows me.
Life sometimes flows in uncertain and unpredictable directions, but the more it does, the more this principle becomes my strength. Seeking, searching, and knocking—that process itself is my way of life and my conviction. Today, I am knocking on my own door. I move forward steadily, believing in the moment when that door will open.

Regarding Strengths and Weaknesses

I possess strong patience and a deep sense of responsibility. When entrusted with a task, I persevere tenaciously to see it through to the end without easily giving up. Perhaps influenced by frequently receiving scolding from my father growing up, I seem to have naturally developed a tendency to remain calm and assess situations objectively, rarely getting easily agitated.
When problems arise, I strive to analyze the situation calmly and seek solutions rather than reacting emotionally. Even if unexpected issues occur during task execution, I approach them with a commitment to see them through from start to finish, maintaining an attitude of perseverance until resolution.
Additionally, I possess a positive mindset and proactive attitude. Faced with challenges, I tackle them one by one with the belief that I can overcome them and strong drive. This personality often earns me the trust of those around me. However, I am also aware that my intense focus and immersion can sometimes create tension or pressure for my colleagues. I have indeed heard comments like, “Don’t act like you’re the only one who can do it,” but when surrounded by people who understand and support my style, I gain even greater motivation and energy, leading to higher work performance.
Of course, my personality isn’t always an advantage. Sometimes my stubbornness or excessive drive can become a burden during collaboration. However, I am aware of these aspects and constantly reflect on myself to achieve balance and harmony.
Ultimately, my strengths are perseverance, a strong sense of responsibility, and calm problem-solving abilities. My weakness is that my strong will can sometimes be burdensome to those around me. I acknowledge both these strengths and weaknesses and strive daily to refine myself for positive growth. I believe that by effectively leveraging the characteristics of my personality, I can maintain my center and move forward steadfastly in any situation.

Motivation for Application and Aspirations

I believe managing people and managing tasks must always be done with fairness and impartiality, free from prejudice. Not everyone can be seen the same way. Each person has their own thoughts and perspectives. The same person might appear positive to one individual but negative to another. Recognizing these differences has made me firmly believe that objective and fair standards are paramount when evaluating people or judging work.
I have always strived to maintain an objective perspective when addressing any issue or interacting with people. I prioritize principles and standards to ensure my judgments are never clouded by emotions or personal preferences. I am confident this approach will be a significant strength in growing into a trusted manager within an organization, and it is precisely why I am applying for a management position.
