Job Performance Capabilities

“I believe the most important thing in service is ‘character’.”
I’ve always thought about what’s most important in service jobs. That’s because I’ve always worked in service roles. As a college student, the only part-time jobs available when I was still inexperienced were in service roles. Starting work at a young age, I encountered all kinds of managers, superiors, and coworkers, leading to many days of pondering what truly matters most in service work. And the conclusion I reached was that it comes down to ‘character’. Character is crucial when providing service to customers. Customers who receive countless services, dine at various places, and drink coffee can instantly sense how sincerely someone is serving them or how genuinely they are speaking to them. Therefore, I believe it’s difficult to provide good service or offer something truly special unless you are someone who constantly checks and reflects on how sincerely you appreciate working here and welcoming customers. That’s why I believe someone who constantly reflects on themselves and strives for better service is the real deal. And I am prepared in that regard. I built a loyal customer base through kindness at a cafe that had no patrons, promoted the cafe, and was even selected by power bloggers as a kind cafe employee, gaining word-of-mouth recognition. In that aspect, I am more confident than anyone.
Furthermore, another crucial ‘character’ trait in service roles is interpersonal character. While communicating with customers is vital, communicating with coworkers is equally important in service jobs. Dealing face-to-face with every customer inevitably causes stress, and how well coworkers offset that stress is key. Equally important is how well you communicate with a demanding manager. I possess a good disposition in this regard as well. Despite being a woman, I place great importance on ‘order’. Therefore, regardless of my personal feelings, I always listen to the manager first, even if someone is performing poorly or making unreasonable demands, because it’s part of my job. Knowing when to bow and working diligently to earn people’s trust – I believe this is another strong point in my job performance, which is why I’ve written it here.

Special Experience and Achievement

“I organized a festival for unity and development.”
The most special experience and achievement in my life was ‘hosting a festival’. I graduated from the Department of Food and Nutrition, and throughout my studies, I often felt I was learning a truly practical discipline. While other fields seemed to involve putting thoughts into words, my studies involved subjects that could directly feed people and influence their health. That’s why I loved my field so much. However, there was significant prejudice within the school against my field of study, my department. Some even said it was just a place for making bread. Before graduating, I wanted to raise awareness about our field and use it to create a project that could benefit students and, further, contribute to society. So, I gathered with the club presidents of the Food and Nutrition Department and proposed an idea to the school administration: planning a festival. We wanted to introduce foods rich in nutrients but low in calories, ingredients beneficial to health, simple recipes using them, and ways to apply nutrition science. We planned the festival, served diverse foods provided by sponsors to fellow students, and sold some products. The proceeds covered our expenses, and any remaining funds were donated to underprivileged neighbors in the community. It was an unprecedented initiative at the school, and as it was my first time organizing such an event, it was challenging. However, it was an incredibly rewarding experience because I managed the entire process from start to finish, integrating my friends’ planning and ideas, and because it allowed us to give back to society.

Motivation for Application and Aspirations

“Food is always the most important thing for people.”
Food is the most important thing for people. Especially in times like these, when nutrition is often excessive, food becomes even more crucial. It’s not about eating a lot, but about eating appropriately. We need to limit excessive intake and encourage consumption of nutrients that are currently lacking. Only then can we live healthily and free from illness. As the future approaches, food will undoubtedly become an even more critical topic. Therefore, I hold a unique perspective on food science and have studied it extensively. To effectively apply my knowledge of food nutrition, I specifically sought part-time work in related service roles and industries to gain experience. This is why I chose CJ ENCT. I aspire to work at CJ ENCT, a company that creates the most reasonable and delicious products. I am a dedicated professional with a deep passion and sense of responsibility for the work I do and the services I provide. Based on this responsibility and sense of mission, I aim to become someone who sincerely serves and welcomes people at CJ ENCITY. Drawing on the expertise gained from my diligent work in service roles, I will work diligently, constantly reflect on myself, and strive to provide even better service tomorrow. I look forward to your support.

Additional Notes

“My greatest strength is my ability to see things through to the end.”
I believe the greatest strength of my character is my ability to see things through to the end. It may sound simple, but I take pride in this ability because, among the people I know, I am the one who excels at it the most. I have always been the one with the tenacity to stay until the very end and finish the job. When planning and executing the festival mentioned earlier, I was the only one who stayed up all night working and then held the festival booth the next day. Similarly, when working part-time jobs, I was the only employee who didn’t let hourly wages or closing times sway me; I consistently demonstrated the resolve to see assigned tasks through to the end. I am a highly responsible person who always sees work through to completion and never leaves until it’s finished.
I believe the reason I can be so responsible is because I’m good at self-motivation. I think I can stick with things until the end because they are things I enjoy and want to do. The work at your company has always been what I’ve dreamed of doing. I want to be an employee who works hard here, learns, and helps make this place grow and flourish. I look forward to working with you.
