With her outstanding service spirit, genuine care for others, sense of responsibility, and intense focus on her work, my mother truly excelled in many areas.
Her practical abilities sometimes surpassed even my father’s, who had a college degree, and I naturally grew to deeply respect her. Of course, she has no regrets about her past. Though that time was filled with temptations to stray, the responsibility to ease my mother’s regret—she hadn’t received higher education—kept me focused. I could always work diligently without distraction. Back then, I often felt inexplicable guilt, thinking that the time I was now wasting was precisely the precious moments my mother had to sacrifice, forced to bear the burden of supporting our household. And that guilt ultimately became the driving force that brought me back to my studies. The image of my mother, who calmly said, “It’s okay, it’s not a waste,” while setting aside her own educational opportunities, yet occasionally revealing her regret, has remained in my heart for a long time. So I always gave it my all, sprinting at full speed, pushing my abilities to the limit to produce the best possible results.
Looking back now, my fierce determination back then wasn’t solely about grades or results. It was my respect and gratitude towards my mother, along with a sense of responsibility for my own life, that drove me forward. That mindset remains a crucial pillar supporting my life, and I intend to live onward without forgetting that driving force.
Strengths and Weaknesses of My Personality
I am someone who consistently strives to exercise responsibility within the rights and opportunities given to me, fully utilizing my capabilities within those boundaries. View on Life
Our present exists upon the benefits created by the sweat and efforts of past pioneers. Therefore, I believe we must do our utmost to leave a better world for our descendants. Today, we constantly strive to develop and improve the environment we inhabit, making it more convenient. Yet, it is not us who will fully enjoy the fruits of these efforts, but the descendants who will carry on the next generation.
Humans are beings who always live in the present based on the benefits inherited from the past, and prepare for the future based on that present. Humans, with their finite lifespans, must eventually step off the stage. Precisely because of this, we must devote our energy to cultivating the groundwork for the next generation. Given that our small efforts and choices can lead to significant changes in the distant future, what we can do now is immensely important.
Therefore, we must accept as a given that our efforts become the foundation for our descendants. Rather than complaining, we should always recognize that the present we enjoy is itself the result of the efforts and sacrifices accumulated by people in the past. Building upon that, it is our vital responsibility to lay stepping stones so that our generation achieves greater progress and the next generation gains even greater momentum. This is the path to contributing to the advancement of all humanity, and it is an attitude we must deeply engrave in our lives.
