My Growth Journey
As a child, I was someone who always strived to make small progress, even when others weren’t watching. Though I didn’t show rapid achievements, I steadily made small advances through consistent effort, walking my own path. Unlike other children who quickly lost interest in new and exciting things or struggled to focus without adult attention, I believed that even if it took time, I could ultimately reach my desired goals. Keeping my father’s teaching close to my heart – ‘Even if you don’t stand out, if you advance steadily with patience, results will follow’ – I always moved forward diligently, even if a little slower. My father always told me to emulate the tortoise in the ‘Tortoise and the Hare’ story and live faithfully. The tortoise’s strength was its steadiness, and thanks to that, it ultimately won. This story profoundly influenced me.
I was well aware I lacked innate, outstanding talent, so I accepted that I might not achieve results as quickly as others. Yet, despite this, I never gave up and persevered steadily. I held the belief that this would eventually lead me ahead of others. In this regard, unlike the hare, the tortoise’s example—feeling the limits of its own abilities yet never giving up until the end—inspired me greatly. Like the hare who fell asleep during the race, I too often fell behind unnoticed in competition with others. Yet, in the end, my steadfast attitude of steadily advancing toward my goals became my greatest strength.
I didn’t aim to be flashily noticed like others or achieve results quickly. In fact, I thought it was more advantageous not to receive such attention. I believed it was more important to spend time quietly walking my own path, out of sight of others’ gazes. By building a solid foundation and steadily advancing toward my goals, I eventually found myself being asked, “What’s the secret to suddenly achieving such results?” Honestly, I never sought a short-term “secret.” I believed the greatest secret was the long period of silently sweating and working hard. Yet, to outsiders, it must have looked like results suddenly burst forth at some point.
Although I didn’t stand out in a flashy way, I personally experienced how consistent effort in small things ultimately yields significant results. Even if I couldn’t achieve outcomes as quickly as others, my belief grew stronger that by persevering steadily, I could eventually achieve success in my own way. The insights gained during this process remain a vital principle in my life today.
School Days
During my school years, I never harbored any desire for luck or cramming sessions. It was a time when I steadily improved my grades through a straightforward, textbook-centered approach to learning. I felt sorry for the children who wasted time searching for lectures by good teachers, cram school classes, workbooks, or past exam papers, rather than solving problems on one or two pages. No matter how excellent the study materials or how capable the lectures, it seemed children didn’t realize that without the effort to truly absorb and make it their own, it ultimately served no purpose. Many students were excitedly under the illusion that following problem books or famous academy instructors promising grade improvements would magically raise their scores.
But I didn’t choose that path. I believed that while the crucial part of the learning process is ultimately progressing toward the same arguments and truths, the effectiveness varies depending on how one unpacks and explains them. So, I decided to raise my grades through my own unique way and independent effort. Following a well-trodden path forged by many may be easier, but it often comes with steep costs and can lead to irregular, poorly refined problems. I’ve seen many students who chose that path ultimately struggle to adapt, face hardship, and fall behind. Wanting to avoid that fate, I chose to explore and forge my own path.
Walking my own path like this meant that whenever I encountered various difficulties, I could respond carefully and calmly. It was like the difference between someone who passively used a finished machine at a large corporation and someone who assembled the machine themselves and solved problems. I was prepared to face curveballs. Finding solutions step by step on my own, the experiences gained in that process ultimately made me stronger.
Ultimately, what mattered to me wasn’t some magic formula for boosting grades, but how much I could grow through the process. Rather than following a path laid out by others, the experience of learning and growing while forging my own path was far more valuable to me.
Personality Introduction
I hold sincerity as my highest virtue and possess a character that advances steadily and diligently. The journey toward a goal is bound to be different for each person. Some may leverage quick wits to find shortcuts and reach their goals easily, while others might find their path smoother by learning from those with expertise. However, I believe consistent effort is more important than relying on such help or chance. Because if there is no help, or no chance, ultimately, one’s endurance and patience in the process will inevitably be lacking. Those raised in affluent environments, accustomed to obtaining everything easily, may be unfamiliar with navigating difficult situations through their own hard work. Those who advance solely based on knowledge acquired at great expense will inevitably encounter obstacles when traveling without a map. However, someone who has forged their path from the very beginning without any luck or expectations, relying solely on their own strength, will be prepared to advance steadily, unyielding to any hardship, even if the journey was long and arduous.
People often judge me as overly stubborn. But I wished that even after struggling for a long time, that will would not be broken. Thus, perseverance and patience became my greatest weapons, enabling me to consistently achieve results. As a result, through quiet, persistent action, I have reached my current stage.
Moving forward, I will continue advancing steadily based on sincerity, prepared to overcome any difficulty. The reason I have reached this point is precisely because of my belief in that sincerity and perseverance.

I believe that to view the world positively, it’s also important not to hold excessively high expectations. For example, if you buy a lottery ticket expecting to win, the disappointment when you don’t is bound to be much greater. However, if you buy a ticket without holding overly high expectations from the start, simply viewing it as a reasonable form of entertainment for the price, then even if you win a small amount, you can feel joy in that little bit of luck. Maintaining this level of reasonable expectation ultimately helps find peace of mind and allows one to find great happiness in small pleasures.
Since luck that comes unexpectedly is rare, its value feels more special and meaningful. Therefore, I try not to entrust my life to such chance or luck. Instead, I always try to live with reasonable expectations. It’s like eating a large whole cake only on special occasions. The occasional sweet cake feels special and delicious, but if you ate it every day, its taste would no longer feel special, and its inherent preciousness and sweetness would fade.
This mindset of maintaining reasonable expectations makes life richer and more meaningful. I am always prepared to welcome both big and small strokes of luck, but I strive to walk my own path steadily without relying too heavily on them.
Reasons for Applying and Future Aspirations
I am not someone blessed with extraordinary luck or innate talent in life. However, precisely because I fully recognized this reality, I approached my work with unwavering perseverance and patience, building achievements step by step. Instead of seeking shortcuts or expecting sudden miracles, I have always believed that sincere effort is the surest way to achieve my goals, and I have lived by that conviction. I believe this very diligence and steadfastness align with the qualities your company seeks in its talent.
