How to Leverage Internship Experience in a Production Technology Resume?

This blog post introduces strategies for effectively incorporating internship experience into your production technology resume and highlighting practical skills.

Growth Process

Throughout her life, my mother always emphasized the positive power of laughter. My mother, who would say things like “I married your father because I wanted to make him laugh” with the sincerity of truth, transformed my reserved father into a ‘man of positivity’. That positive energy then spread to my sister and me, becoming the solid foundation that allowed us siblings to grow up bright and healthy. Perhaps influenced by my mother, I always took on the role of mood-maker, whether at home or school. The most anticipated time of day was dinner. Unless something urgent came up, my father always made an effort to eat with us. Around the table, we shared stories from our day, confided our worries, or laughed together over the smallest things. Those moments deepened our family’s strong bond. At school, I actively participated in class, creating such a lively atmosphere that my teachers remarked, “This makes teaching worthwhile.” My classmates followed suit, and my classroom was always brimming with enthusiasm and laughter.
My father emphasized a ‘responsible attitude’ above all else. As a child, I had so many things I wanted to do that I tried various activities, but I often started things without finishing them. Once, I expressed wanting to learn piano and enrolled in lessons, but quickly lost interest when my playing didn’t improve as I’d hoped. To me, my father often said, “Once you decide to do something, see it through to the end.” The moment I truly learned this lesson came during a mountain hike with my father. Once a week, my father would take me hiking, saying he wanted to teach me perseverance and patience. Many times, halfway up the mountain, I wanted to give up. But thanks to my father’s encouragement, when I finally reached the summit, the sense of accomplishment was indescribable. Through that experience, I learned that when you endure and overcome a difficult hurdle, an indescribable joy awaits you on the other side.
From my mother, I learned the power of laughter and positivity; from my father, a sense of responsibility and perseverance. These two lessons became the roots of my character and values, and they will serve as the nourishment that steadfastly supports me throughout my future professional life. I will open people’s hearts with laughter, give my best effort with an attitude of taking full responsibility for every task entrusted to me, and create positive change in every environment I find myself in.

School Days

I went through a cheerful and bright adolescence before majoring in computer science. I’ve always preferred the process of brainstorming solutions together with others over sitting alone at a desk, pondering problems. Gathering to share ideas, explaining and validating each other’s thoughts, inspired me greatly and significantly helped me develop my skills.
When organizing and running a computer science club within my department, I actively exercised my leadership. Wanting the club to run energetically, I planned each meeting by setting topics and assigning roles to ensure every member participated actively. I believed that without clear responsibilities, activities would gradually become passive, leading to only partial participation and eventual disintegration. So, I created a structure where all members felt accountable, which greatly strengthened the club’s cohesion.
One memorable activity was creating a computer program with like-minded friends to enter a competition. We collaborated especially with mechanical engineering students, integrating our program into their robot to achieve diverse movements. This led to the joy of winning the grand prize, which in turn granted us a special opportunity to visit a research institute in Japan.
The institute visit became another turning point for me. Meeting local researchers reignited my passion for academia and allowed me to directly witness the meticulous effort and creativity behind research achievements. This experience also made me keenly aware of the importance of language, spurring me to intensify my study of not only English but also Japanese after returning home. The connections formed then continue today; I still regularly exchange academic ideas and share various materials with a senior researcher from that Japanese institute. Thanks to this exchange, I not only broadened my academic horizons but also significantly improved my Japanese language skills.
Looking back, all these experiences during my school years held meaning beyond mere activities. The value of cooperation, responsible leadership, and the importance of language and communication—the lessons and growth from this period became the precious foundation that shaped who I am today.

Strengths and Weaknesses

In daily life, listening well is just as important as speaking well. In that regard, I consider my ability to listen attentively to others a major strength. As a ‘mood maker’ who fosters a cooperative atmosphere and positive energy, I take the lead in steering conversations when needed, but in personal settings, I tend to be primarily a listener. I believe that listening attentively to others is a crucial part of good conversation. This attitude of listening has become the foundation for building trust with those around me and has played a significant role in strengthening relationships.
Furthermore, I am someone who takes responsibility and sees things through to the end once I set my mind to them. In my childhood, I often started things but failed to finish them. However, a mountain climbing experience with my father changed me. Through the process of climbing mountains, facing difficulties without giving up, and reaching the summit, I cultivated a strong mental fortitude to accomplish goals to the end. The joy of achievement I tasted at the summit became deeply engraved in my life, and since then, I have made countless efforts to feel that joy again. In every moment when I wanted to give up, I recalled that sense of accomplishment and overcame the hurdles. In that process, the attitude of ‘giving my best effort’ became ingrained in me. Having personally experienced that the more effort I put in, the greater the potential for achievement, I have consistently trained myself.
However, I do have a weakness. My temperament is somewhat hasty, which can sometimes lead to minor mistakes. To compensate for this, I began learning kendo to cultivate a more composed mindset. Kendo has been immensely helpful not only in building physical strength but also in calming my mind and developing patience. I am now much calmer than before and continue striving to maintain both composure and focus. Ultimately, my strengths and weaknesses complement each other, serving as the driving force that makes me stronger and helps me grow.

Work Experience

During my university years, I worked part-time at ○○ Tech, handling computer network management tasks. Through this role, I also participated in server maintenance and acquired relevant certifications. Balancing academics and work was far from easy, but this experience actually made me a more efficient learner. By valuing every minute and second within limited time, I naturally developed the habit of achieving high results even in short periods.
It was immensely rewarding to see my capabilities expand as I developed my skills. That sense of accomplishment fueled my drive to pursue various IT certifications, including ○○○, solidifying my practical abilities. Later, as an intern in the technical sales support department, I gained sales expertise and honed my communication and problem-solving skills directly with clients in the field.
I believe ‘expertise’ is paramount in any role. Therefore, after joining the company, I dedicated myself to gaining deep knowledge of the company’s technical domains. Building on this foundation, I cultivated relationships with our business partners. Through this process, I realized that the core of success in any project or business is ‘trust’. Moving forward, I will continue to create the best results based on expertise and trust, realizing the value of growing together.

Motivation for Application and Aspirations

Grace Hansen once said, “Do not fear that your life will end. Fear that it may never begin.” I deeply resonate with these words and have always believed my life to be an endless journey of happiness. Therefore, I believe it is more important to strive for that happiness to endure than to prepare for life’s end. The continuity brought by constant beginnings and challenges enriches my life and keeps me perpetually positive. I am confident this mindset can positively influence those around me.
I wish to actively bring this bright, positive energy to your company. I believe the outcome of any endeavor depends on the perspective from which it is viewed. A company composed of members with positive, forward-thinking mindsets inherently possesses a powerful engine for growth. I am confident I can contribute to making the atmosphere even healthier and more vibrant within such an energy-filled organization.
If given the opportunity to join your company and utilize my abilities, I will lead by example and strive to be a role model for my colleagues. Furthermore, I will maintain a positive attitude and dedication to the company, never losing my smile regardless of the situation. I sincerely hope that my bright energy and sincere attitude will contribute to your company’s development and become a driving force for our mutual growth.
