Due to my parents’ divorce during my childhood, I was raised by my grandparents. Watching my elderly grandparents, I naturally developed a sense of responsibility and matured early. While my peers were still acting childish, I volunteered to run errands for my grandmother, helped with household chores, and strove to be a source of strength for my grandparents. While I always felt a lingering regret at not receiving my mother’s love up close, I grew up receiving deeper and more abundant love than anyone else could offer, surrounded by my grandparents’ warm care.
My father, who worked in construction, was often away on business trips to the provinces, so we didn’t have much time together. Yet, even from afar, he always inquired about my well-being and conveyed his warm heart. Father often told me, “Divorce doesn’t mean the absence of love,” to prevent any misunderstanding about Mother. Faced with the reality of my parents’ divorce, my grandparents and father worried I might be shaken during adolescence. Yet, I wanted to become stronger precisely to ease their concerns. While I missed my mother who had left, I tried to understand that she must have had her own reasons rather than resent her. That mindset actually helped me mature internally.
Starting in high school, whenever I wanted something, I sought out ways to achieve it myself, cultivating self-reliance. I wanted to accomplish things through my own efforts rather than relying on my grandparents or father, and I learned to overcome difficulties on my own. I steadily worked part-time jobs throughout high school to earn my own spending money. Working at a restaurant delivery service and a gas station allowed me to experience diverse aspects of society. Especially in the service industry, encountering people who treated others rudely based on their status or circumstances often made me feel uncomfortable and hurt. However, through these experiences, I personally realized how deeply hurtful rude behavior can be to others. This deeply ingrained in me the importance of always maintaining a polite attitude when interacting with people.
Through this growth process and diverse experiences, I cultivated the ability to understand and empathize with others’ perspectives, and developed the right attitude to maintain harmonious relationships with anyone. What shaped me into who I am today was the presence of my grandparents, who enveloped me in warm love even amidst hardship, and the unwavering faith of my father, who always sent his heartfelt support from afar. The independence and self-reliance I cultivated by challenging myself and learning from those experiences will undoubtedly be a valuable asset in my future life.
School Life
“A Career Path Chosen After Thorough Consideration”
I enlisted in the military immediately after graduating high school. While my high school grades were decent enough to maintain an average of 4.0 or higher, the decision of whether to go straight to college or enter society first was not an easy one. So, starting in my senior year, I made the plan to complete my military service first, allowing me to enlist right after graduation. My grandparents and father were disappointed by my choice, but they silently watched over me, allowing me time to think things through thoroughly during my military service. They also repeatedly assured me they would always be there to help and support me, no matter what path I chose.
Around the time I reached the rank of Staff Sergeant during my service, my career path finally became clear. While I felt it was right to enter society as soon as possible to repay my father and grandparents for their sacrifices, I also realized that studying a little longer to secure a better job could be another way to honor their hard work. That’s how I decided to go to university and began preparing for the college entrance exam whenever I could during the remainder of my military service.
Seeing my friends already in their second or third years of university made me feel I was starting late. But I reassured myself that once they finished their military service and returned to school, they’d ultimately be on a similar starting line to mine. Thinking this way, I could ease my mind, treating it as if I were repeating a year, and focus more intensely on my studies. Having already made this decision after thorough consideration, my learning efficiency increased, and my concentration improved beyond comparison to before.
After completing my military service, I set a study plan for 10 hours daily and also worked part-time for 6 hours each day. During my part-time job, I squeezed in time to memorize English vocabulary, striving not to waste even 10 minutes, and spent a year this way. Through this effort, I finally gained admission to the mechanical engineering department at my desired university. During my undergraduate studies, I obtained an Industrial Engineer certification and raised my TOEIC score to 700. While not an exceptionally high score, I felt especially proud because I achieved it entirely through online lectures and self-study, without ever attending a cram school.
After entering university, I continued attending classes on weekdays and working part-time on weekends. Though study time was always scarce, I reviewed that day’s lecture material every evening by cutting back on sleep. I maintained a consistent study habit rather than cramming only during exam periods. Balancing academics and part-time work was never easy, but I steadily advanced toward the goals I set for myself. Ultimately, I was able to conclude my university life with the satisfaction of having given it my all.
Looking back, I walked this path with sincerity, having agonized over and chosen my career path more fiercely than anyone else. I believe each step of that journey has forged me into the person I am today. No matter what choices I face in the future, I am confident that these experiences will serve as a solid foundation, allowing me to move forward without wavering.
Strengths and Weaknesses
“A Man with Meticulous Time Management”
I possess a personality that is meticulous about time management and lives a planned life. I am diligent and good at keeping appointments; when I have a commitment, I always try to arrive a little earlier than the set time. While waiting, I use my phone scheduler to review that day’s schedule and tasks, meticulously organizing future plans. Even when working part-time, I always arrived 30 minutes early to tidy the store and prepare for work. This attitude earned me the trust of my coworkers and allowed me to start each workday with a sense of calm.
I possess strong concentration skills and work at a fast pace. I’ve earned recognition for handling tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and avoiding mistakes. Particularly during school projects, classmates often remarked, “You work like someone who’s been in the field.” I believe this high level of completion and consistent top grades stem from this aspect of my personality.
However, I’ve occasionally been told I can be somewhat impatient. Especially when working in teams, I sometimes felt frustrated when others’ progress seemed slow. Yet, through various team projects and group assignments during my university years, I naturally came to accept that everyone works at their own pace and in their own way. I realized that working quickly isn’t always the right answer. Now, I respect others’ methods and strive to work harmoniously together. I am learning and practicing that a humble attitude, acknowledging and considering each other’s differences, is paramount.
Thus, while I possess strengths in thorough time management and rapid task execution, I constantly strive to achieve harmony through flexibility and consideration when collaborating with others. I believe this aspect of my character will positively influence any environment I encounter in the future.

Throughout its long history, it has continuously evolved and grown, earning the affection of all generations through numerous hit products. Among these, products like ○○○ and ○○○ are snacks deeply embedded in daily life, ones I have enjoyed consistently from my childhood to the present. Upon learning of this opportunity to join the production facilities team at ○○ Confectionery, a brand so familiar and trustworthy, I applied without hesitation.
From high school through college, I built a solid foundation for professional life through diverse part-time work experiences.
