Growth Process

“Parents Who Fostered My Confidence”
Thanks to my parents, who always warmly supported whatever I wanted to pursue, I enjoyed challenging myself with diverse activities throughout my school years. Particularly during middle school, I was active in the animation club, creating works with friends and even participating in competitions as the club representative.
Looking back, the drawings and works I created then were immature and crude, but simply pouring passion into something felt joyful. The time spent discussing and collaborating with friends who shared the same interests felt truly precious.
Whenever I faced dilemmas, my parents quietly offered words of wisdom. Thanks to them, I developed the strength to think independently and make wise choices. When I felt fear before making a choice or became discouraged after failing at something, my parents always warmly encouraged me to rise above the situation.
Through these experiences, I deeply realized how crucial ‘cheering’ and ‘support’ are in a person’s growth. My parents’ unwavering belief instilled confidence within me, and it remains a powerful driving force that moves me to this day.
Moreover, the most important life attitude my parents taught me was ‘diligence’. Naturally following my father’s example of leaving for work at a set time every day, I developed the habit of always arriving early at school from elementary school onward. I was consistently the first student to arrive at school, and this diligence continued throughout my school life and into my university years.
During exam periods, I planned ahead and prepared thoroughly. When working on assignments, I actively sought questions from professors and help from seniors to produce high-quality work. I made it a rule to always submit these completed assignments ahead of the deadline.
What shaped me into who I am today wasn’t some grand event or special turning point. It was my parents’ support, encouraging me to think for myself and take on challenges even in small choices, and their guidance in cultivating a diligent attitude in daily life that allowed me to grow step by step, even today.
I live by these core values in my life: the power of warm encouragement and consistent diligence.

School Life

“Club Activities and Mentoring Role”
The very first club I joined upon entering university was the animation club. While staying dedicated to my major’s coursework was a given, my vivid memories of participating in an animation club during middle school naturally drew me toward a club in the same field.
Club activities in university were distinctly different from those in middle school. The members’ skills were exceptional, and the content we produced was far more professional. We worked as a team to complete a single project, and we even submitted the finished work to contests. It was an amount of work I could never have handled alone, but it was possible because I had my teammates. Through this process, I also grew much closer to my club friends.
As a result, we achieved success in a content creation contest, winning an Encouragement Award with the evaluation that our “innovative idea stood out.” It was a meaningful experience that yielded tangible results beyond a simple hobby.
I also didn’t neglect my academic life. I actively participated in a volunteer club within my department, learning the value of sharing as a member of the community. I always kept myself busy because I wanted to faithfully manage all three aspects: club activities, volunteer work, and departmental classes. Amidst this, I consistently prepared for and obtained necessary certifications like computer certifications and a management consultant license without delay.
Through participating in various projects via clubs and departmental classes, I naturally learned the ‘importance of harmony and collaboration within an organization’. I also personally experienced that pursuing challenges with passion can yield unexpectedly positive outcomes.
A special opportunity came during my third year. I was assigned as a student mentor to assist an exchange student from Finland who joined our department. Since he was not yet fluent in Korean, most communication had to be conducted in English. Whereas I had previously studied English solely to improve my TOEIC score, this experience shifted to using English in real-life situations. Spending a year with him naturally enhanced my English skills.
On days without classes or on Saturdays, we visited cultural heritage sites in Korea together, or I guided him around famous places in Seoul, introducing him to Korean culture. During a seasonal change, he once caught a severe cold and was struggling. I remember helping him by letting him rest at my house for a day under my mother’s care. Even now, he recalls that time and says, “The Korean I met in Korea was the coolest person in the world.”
In this way, during my university years, I grew beyond simply learning academics—I developed through collaborating with people and sharing cultures. The experiences gained from challenges and creativity in club activities, diligent study and service within my department, and my role as a mentor have all become deeply ingrained within me. I believe they will be valuable assets in whatever I pursue in the future.

Personality Introduction

“Communication Skills and Time Management Skills”
My greatest strength is my exceptional communication skills. During my university years, while working on team projects with friends, disagreements often arose. In these situations, I took on the role of identifying the root cause of the conflict and mediating between perspectives to resolve the issue. Recognizing that everyone offered opinions with good intentions, I focused on finding common ground within each argument. I naturally guided the discussion toward a mutually acceptable conclusion, facilitating a smooth consensus. These experiences further honed my communication skills.
Additionally, I possess both perseverance and drive. It’s often said that quitting smoking is the toughest challenge for men, while dieting is hardest for women. During my senior year of high school, I reached 63kg and felt sluggish and less active. This made me resolve to lose weight for my health. From winter break until just before starting university, I embarked on a serious diet for about two months. I adjusted my diet and combined it with regular exercise for two hours daily. As a result, I lost 6kg. Even after entering university, I consistently maintained my diet management and continued exercising. I have now maintained a weight 10kg lower than my high school days. I believe this perseverance and execution power are examples that clearly demonstrate my strong will and patience.
Time management is another one of my strengths. I strictly adhere to scheduled appointments and, when tackling assignments, always plan ahead and execute, submitting well before deadlines. While I work quickly and am sometimes told I have an “impatient personality,” I consciously strive to regulate this aspect. I reflect on myself to avoid causing unnecessary stress to those around me, and when working, I demonstrate drive with both swift execution and a strong sense of responsibility.
Thus, I am someone who communicates smoothly with others and handles assigned tasks with sincerity and responsibility. I am confident that my persistent approach toward goals and efficient time management skills will serve as powerful assets in any future situation.

Volunteer Work

“Volunteering is an activity that makes me happy.”
Through a business department club, I began volunteering at a welfare facility for the visually impaired, an organization with which my department has long-standing ties. My primary tasks involved assisting with meals and daily living for the visually impaired. Initially, I was unfamiliar and clumsy, making mistakes. However, witnessing how they warmly spoke to me and showed consideration despite my inexperience deeply moved me.
Initially, I thought of volunteering as ‘me helping others,’ but this perspective changed over time. I received comfort and courage from people who see others with the eyes of their heart, and I realized it was actually a time when I learned and healed more myself.
Volunteering transcended the simple act of helping others; it became a precious experience that allowed me to reflect on myself and grow. The phrase ‘an activity that makes me happy’ resonated more deeply than ever before. I resolve to cherish this experience and continue practicing sharing in the future.

Post-Employment Aspirations

“I will grow into a marketer with a sense of mission.”
The global spread of the Korean Wave and K-POP is driving international interest in Korea’s diverse entertainment content. Amid this rising global demand for Korean cultural content, I believe Lotte Cinema, as a core company leading Korea’s film industry, is a brand with significant responsibility and influence. I firmly believe it possesses the potential to leap beyond being just a cinema chain and become a global enterprise in the entertainment sector.
However, no matter how outstanding the content may be, its full value is difficult to convey without effective marketing strategies to support it. Content and marketing are mutually reinforcing; their importance is particularly significant in the global market. Therefore, as a marketer at Lotte Cinema, I aim to go beyond merely performing tasks and faithfully fulfill my role of promoting the brand’s value to the world with a sense of mission.
To grow as part of a global entertainment company, I will not rest on my current language skills but will continuously hone my abilities. My goal is to become a global talent proficient in English, Chinese, and Japanese. Long-term, I aim to establish myself as someone who can widely promote Lotte Cinema’s brand value even within overseas branches.
Moving forward, I will remain sensitive to the changing market trends and grow as a marketer who understands diverse cultures and consumer needs. I will pour my capabilities and passion unreservedly to ensure the Lotte Cinema brand shines even brighter on the global stage.
