Motivation for Applying

“I want to work where everyone is happy.”
My grandmother has been unable to choose her own clothes for a very long time. This was because she had lost one leg to illness. Yet she never once complained about hardship, always greeting me with a bright smile and never uttering a word of complaint. I never even noticed she wore the same clothes day after day. But one day, when visitors were coming, I saw her voice trail off as she said, “Still, I wish I could wear something nice for the other family members to see…” Seeing a shadow fall over Grandma’s face, who had endured hardship her whole life, brought tears to my eyes. Coincidentally, I happened to see a home shopping channel featuring clothing tailored for seniors. Discovering this, I helped Grandma select clothes through Lotte Home Shopping. At first, she refused, but soon she was smiling brightly and happily choosing outfits. I will never forget that smile.
Hello. I am ○○○, an applicant who understands that Lotte Home Shopping and Lotte.com are places where everyone can come and feel joy. My grandmother still happily wears the clothes she chose from Lotte Home Shopping. I feel that Lotte Home Shopping can go beyond home shopping to bring people even greater joy and fulfillment. Furthermore, Lotte.com offers well-curated packages of items people need, enabling ordinary citizens to lead more abundant lives. I believe Lotte.com and Lotte Home Shopping are places that sell not just goods or products, but joy.
That is why I am applying to your company. My goal has been Lotte since the moment my grandmother smiled. I took a detour after failing twice, but I am applying again now. If I join your company, I will strive to be an employee who helps people feel even more joy and happiness at Lotte. I look forward to working with you!

My Growth Journey

“The Days I Grew Up with Independence”
When I was young, my family suddenly faced hardship and we were scattered in different directions. From second grade through my first year of high school, I had to move between relatives’ homes alone. If I was lucky, I could live with my younger sibling in one place. Living that way naturally made me grow into a child with a strong sense of independence. I couldn’t rely on anyone else for what I wore or ate, and I couldn’t act spoiled. So, unlike other friends, I feel I’ve lived taking responsibility for what I needed myself. Because of this, I matured faster than others, started social life earlier, and adapted well. I understood life wasn’t a game and truly appreciated how precious people who showed me kindness were, so I learned to be grateful for small things early on. Knowing that simply living with my parents was a blessing, I always lived with respect and love for them. I grew up feeling deep affection for my family, missing each other constantly. Though those aspects were sometimes difficult when I was young, as I grew older, I came to feel that it was precisely because of that experience that we became a family who loved and cherished each other even more, and that it allowed me to grow.

Internal and External Activities

“Learning online and offline marketing through supporter activities.”
I was very interested in social activities, so I participated in activities like supporting comfort women grandmothers, volunteering at free meal centers, and being a supporter at blood donation fairs. I mainly worked as a supporter for activities that needed to be brought to public attention but lacked people to promote them. The best part about these activities was, first, being able to see and learn marketing firsthand. Each organization had different promotional staff, and the methods varied based on the company’s philosophy. By performing and observing these methods firsthand, I gained a feel for promotion. Some organizations focused heavily on SNS, others promoted offline activities through events, and some relied primarily on student networks for promotion. I believe that by engaging in promotional activities across such diverse organizations, I was able to directly experience and learn from these approaches. The second great aspect was the opportunity to interact with people. I met leaders from various organizations and collaborated with individuals during activities. Through these interactions, I learned that people are diverse and each has their own life, which taught me how to integrate with different individuals. As a result, I feel it was beneficial to build a network connecting me with friends from various departments, schools, and regions.

Work Experience

“Learning about society through an internship.”
I completed a one-and-a-half-year internship at a company. Originally a six-month internship, I worked there for one and a half years because the company requested an extension. I worked in the planning/strategy department of a research institute. This department focused on researching how to communicate the outcomes of research to diverse audiences, how to effectively appeal to institutions, and how to convey information impactfully to the public. Since it concentrated on developing planning and marketing strategies, it was a great workplace for me, given my experience across online and offline marketing. There, I assisted many senior colleagues and supervisors with administrative tasks. When smaller projects arose, I took charge of planning them and handled their execution on social media. You could say I handled the overall role of online marketing. Through this work, I learned to take responsibility for marketing, communicate with people through practical marketing efforts, understand public trends, and gain hands-on experience. I was fortunate to meet excellent seniors who allowed me to gain diverse experiences across various areas.

Aspirations After Joining

“I will become a person brimming with energy and adapt quickly to my duties.”
I believe my greatest strength is my energy. My mother always told me: “Don’t carry anger from the left side to the right,” “Don’t bring troubles from this house to that house,” “Don’t take out your frustration elsewhere after being slapped by the Han River.” So, I’ve worked hard to quickly shift my mood and avoid being someone who drags negative feelings elsewhere. Consequently, people often tell me, “You’re so full of energy!” I also frequently hear that I’m very patient, because I never show my true feelings to others, no matter what happens.
I don’t believe my qualifications are yet sufficient to apply to a large corporation like Lotte, but I have decided to apply again this year. I want to become an energetic person, utilizing everything I’ve learned, and quickly adapt to your company’s work. If given the opportunity, I am confident I can demonstrate my capabilities in practical work. I look forward to your consideration!
