This blog post introduces how to effectively incorporate an attitude that prioritizes trust with customers and an honest work philosophy into a sales position self-introduction letter.
Growth Process
One day when I was eight years old, I loved the arcade I briefly stopped at on my way home from school so much that I took money from my mother’s wallet. My father, an Army officer, and my mother, an elementary school teacher, who knew about it, quietly called me over. They told me they already knew everything and had been waiting for their son to come clean. They gave me a stern lesson: without honesty, I could never live happily as an adult. That day’s event was deeply engraved in my heart and became a crucial value in my life.
Years later, when I began working at a bicycle shop in Canada, it was precisely because of the ‘honesty’ my parents had instilled in me that the foreign owner, who rarely trusted others easily, appointed me as manager. As I prepared to return home to graduate from school, the owner asked me to hire three successors. Having worked together for about a year, building a bond, I spent roughly two weeks reviewing over 30 applications and conducting interviews. I carefully selected the most trustworthy and diligent candidates, then personally trained them for a month, fulfilling my responsibility.
Even now, nine months after returning home, I still keep in touch with the owner. Each time, the owner never fails to say, “Thank you for finding such a good employee.” Through this experience, I personally realized that honesty breeds trust, and that trust in turn leads to good results. If I am fortunate enough to join ○○○, I will contribute to expanding the customer base and increasing profits through my optimistic personality and trustworthy sales activities. I will always strive to grow into a trusted employee.
Personality Strengths, Weaknesses, and Special Skills
The greatest strength of my personality is that I always act based on honesty and strive to overcome any difficult situation with an optimistic attitude, never giving up. Furthermore, I possess an attitude of constantly learning and trying new things to grow, never resting on my current achievements. After returning to Korea and readjusting to university life, I resolved to work harder not only academically but also for my personal development. As part of this effort, I participated in the school-sponsored MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) certification training starting in ○○ 20○○. I consistently attended three hours of lectures daily after school for a month, followed by two hours of review each day. Combining this with major studies at the library, I successfully earned the MOS certification. This achievement also led to the honor of receiving my first and only major scholarship during my university years, with an outstanding GPA of 4.2/4.5.
Of course, I have weaknesses too. I tend to get distracted when surrounded by various stimuli, often spreading my focus across multiple things and missing the most important one. To improve this, I’ve developed the habit of always taking notes and systematically organizing tasks by priority to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
My specialty is singing. Having competed in several small-scale contests, I possess an extroverted personality that allows me to stand confidently on stage without nervousness, even in front of large audiences. I believe this disposition will greatly aid in harmonizing smoothly with existing Silicon File members. Furthermore, I am confident it will play a positive role in confidently conveying Silicon File’s quality, value, and strengths when dealing with diverse customers and business partners.
Reason for Applying
Anyone preparing for employment naturally prefers a stable company with a secure future. I shared this aspiration and became convinced that Silicon File, which is continuously growing through technological and strategic partnerships with large corporations, is precisely the place that can fulfill this desire. I believe that to build a sturdy house, laying a solid foundation is paramount. A magnificent pillar erected on a weak foundation is ultimately like a rock that wobbles. Therefore, I wish to start with sales—the lifeblood of any company—and help build the solid house that is Silicon File.
Specifically, I aspire to take on the role of promoting and selling ○○○’s world-class CIS and semiconductor quality, not only in the domestic market but also globally. I believe no role instills confidence and trust like that of a salesperson selling a great product. Building on my honest and trustworthy character, I will confidently introduce and sell Siliconfile’s excellent CIS products to customers worldwide. Through this, I will grow alongside the company and become an even more solid professional.
Desired Role and Future Aspirations
Like the saying, “A book thief is no thief at all,” I aspire to be a “book-stealing thief” who absorbs knowledge and experience wholeheartedly through hands-on fieldwork. Of course, mastering a job doesn’t happen overnight. As a beginner, I will patiently and persistently learn the valuable know-how from my seniors and make it my own. Through continuous self-development and effort during this process, I will deliver genuine ‘customer delight’ to both internal and external clients.
I believe sales is more than just a transactional act; it is a profession demanding thorough professionalism and responsibility. Especially at Silicon File, which boasts top-tier technical capabilities and competitiveness in CIS and core component technologies, I will pour passion into every task, fueled by that pride. Furthermore, through thorough customer-centric thinking and actions, I will provide value beyond what customers need, growing alongside the company as a valuable asset. I will not stop at merely achieving targets but will also contribute to enhancing the company’s trust and expanding its brand value.
