My Growth Journey

One day, my mother handed me a baseball bat and ball, saying, “Don’t just stay home—go out and hang with your friends.” Though I had zero interest in baseball, I was initially puzzled yet intrigued by the idea of a new activity. That’s how I started gathering friends to play baseball, and gradually, those outings became more frequent. My mother, worried that reading too much might make me socially awkward, had given me an opportunity to connect more broadly with the world.
Playing baseball with friends made me regret not discovering this fun sooner, but I felt more relieved that I had started, even if late. Playing baseball naturally led me to enjoy watching games, and I even analyzed the win rates of my favorite team myself. This process introduced me to mathematical concepts like probability, sparking my interest in math. As I immersed myself in studying math, I soon became the top student in the class.
Through this experience, I realized that “doing something you enjoy ultimately builds your skills.” I personally felt that engaging in something with passion and immersion leads to much faster growth than forcing yourself to do something. I will never forget this mindset. When undertaking tasks at your company, I will approach them with the same attitude, building my skills while enjoying the process, and strive to be recognized as a competent professional.

School Days

After graduating high school, I embarked on a journey to study abroad. I boarded the plane filled with excitement and anticipation, but the reality of starting my overseas studies alone brought a loneliness far greater than I had imagined. Adapting to an unfamiliar environment and culture was far from easy. However, my innate spirit of challenge gradually kicked in, and with that strength, I began to step into this new life.
First, I laid the foundation for my life by joining a local Korean student association. I gained useful information and advice from seniors who had started studying abroad before me, gradually overcoming the difficulties of daily life. However, as time passed, I realized that spending time only with Korean friends naturally led to increased Korean usage, potentially slowing the pace of my English improvement. So, I deliberately created opportunities to socialize with foreign friends. By attending debates and actively participating in economics and accounting-related academic societies and seminars, I quickly mastered English expressions relevant to my major. These efforts ultimately paid off. By my final semester before graduation, my academic performance had improved significantly enough to earn a scholarship.
Studying abroad went beyond mere academic growth; it broadened my horizons and deepened my perspective on the world. I experienced diverse cultures and ways of thinking firsthand and forged deep friendships with friends of different nationalities and backgrounds. Looking back now, I believe the challenges and growth of that time became crucial foundations for my life and will continue to be a strong source of strength as I walk new paths ahead.

Personality and Life Philosophy

“Be a proactive person who doesn’t fear challenges.” I make this pledge to myself every morning before leaving home. A life that pursues only stability without challenges can eventually lead to a loss of motivation. I find my purpose in the joy gained from new endeavors, so I approach everything with enthusiasm and passion. As someone who relishes challenges, I also do not fear failure. If I feared failure, I wouldn’t have challenged myself in the first place. Of course, there are moments when failure comes despite my best efforts. However, rather than becoming discouraged or regretting, I examine what my mistakes or shortcomings were in the process and prepare for the next opportunity. This is so that when a chance to try again comes, I won’t repeat the same mistakes.
Once quiet and fond of reading, I became a more active and sociable person after discovering baseball. Whereas I used to gain experience indirectly through books, I now acquire more knowledge and insights through direct experiences. Whatever I do, there is always something to learn within it. I have steadily accumulated all experiences as life wisdom, and I believe this humble attitude of seeking knowledge even in small matters is the driving force that makes me appear ‘diligent’. Diligence is fundamental for a learner, so I will continue to maintain this attitude and dedicate myself with diligence and passion to my duties at your company.
