My father, who maintained an unwaveringly sincere and honest attitude throughout his over 30-year corporate career, taught me how crucial diligence and effort are in life. Rising before dawn every single day for morning exercise, he instilled in me the value of diligent habits. Influenced by him, I developed the habit of waking early and approaching any task with a sincere attitude.
As a child, I was always surrounded by friends and led an active life outdoors playing sports rather than staying indoors. Because of that active lifestyle, I still enjoy exercising, love meeting people, and value human relationships. That’s why when I first meet someone, I try to see their strengths first.
Life Motto and Personality Strengths/Weaknesses
My life motto is ‘Never give up.’ My personality is calm and cautious, and I enjoy blending in and getting along with people. Though I’m usually quiet and reserved, making me seem hard to approach at first, those who know me well say I often show a brighter side.
My strength is that once I take on a task, I persistently see it through to the end, no matter how difficult. When I was a squad leader in the military, I supported an injured squad member during a march training exercise, helping them complete the entire course. As a result, our squad received an award from the battalion commander. I firmly believe that with conviction, anything can be overcome. Through personal experience, I’ve learned that no matter how difficult a task may seem, persevering without giving up leads to a solution. Therefore, persistence is my greatest strength.
I have clear likes and dislikes, which can sometimes make me appear cold in certain situations. I recognize this as a weakness. However, through my experiences in school and beyond, building diverse relationships and learning to adapt flexibly, I have overcome this tendency.
Work Experience
Throughout my university years, I consistently sought to broaden my social experience alongside my studies. Consequently, I joined ○○○ Mart immediately upon entering university and worked steadily there until the second semester of my third year. This experience taught me firsthand how crucial harmonious relationships with others are. My time at ○○○ Mart was a valuable period in my life, allowing me to gain social experience beyond academics. This social experience transformed my attitude from “I can’t do it” to “I’ll give it a try.”
While working at ○○○ Mart, I noticed that a small quantity of expired products appeared monthly. The store manager explained this was unavoidable due to the store’s nature. However, calculating the annual loss revealed it was significant. I proposed modifying the display shelves to facilitate easier restocking, moving away from the previous FIFO method that required staff to remove every item from the front to the back. This change successfully reduced monthly losses. I believe this was possible because I actively sought to create a better environment rather than being passive. Because I worked with this sense of ownership, the store manager offered to write me a recommendation to apply for the assistant manager position. However, since my passion and desire lie in accounting, I respectfully declined.
Studying accounting during my university years sparked my interest in the field, and above all, I strive to enjoy it. I currently hold a Level 1 Computerized Accounting certification, enabling me to utilize the Dozon program. I have also taken the Level 2 Computerized Tax and Corporate Accounting certification exams and am awaiting the results, meaning I can handle year-end tax settlements and tax-related tasks. Additionally, I possess an MCAS Master certification, demonstrating advanced OA skills.
Motivation for Applying and Aspirations After Joining
Even for the same product, each company has a distinct image, and that image plays a crucial role in consumers’ product choices. I believe the image held by (Corporation) ○○ is that of a professional and challenging young company. My goal is to pursue my dreams at such a progressive company, which is why I am courageously taking this challenge.
When I first chose accounting as my major, people around me generally thought accounting was a difficult field of study, and I thought so too. However, after studying accounting, I realized it’s not merely about calculating money but serves as a fundamental communication method for the entire company. I found it fascinating that accounting analyzes past losses to minimize future ones and predicts future financial information to mitigate risks. The more I learn, the more I find it an enjoyable field, and I study with enthusiasm. Recently, while studying ‘Auditing,’ I learned how crucial the role of a Certified Public Accountant is and find it particularly interesting.
I strive to be meticulous and thorough in everything I do. I believe this trait is an essential requirement for accounting work and am confident it will contribute to the growth of (Company Name).
