Growth Process
“Learning diligence within a family that communicates together”
My family maintains a consistently warm and affectionate atmosphere, yet we also adhere to strict principles in daily life. Our morning routine rules are particularly rigorous, considered so important that they must be followed without exception, even during exam periods. Every morning at 6 a.m., our family rises together, shares breakfast, then takes a walk in a nearby park while holding a brief family meeting to start the day. This time is not merely a routine to begin the day; it is also a meaningful period where we prepare and organize each other’s day through family communication.
During our walk, we naturally share stories about our previous day and discuss tasks for the day ahead or areas where we might need each other’s help. If anyone has complaints or suggestions, we openly discuss and coordinate them right then. At first, this morning meeting sometimes felt a bit cumbersome, but over time, I’ve come to see it as a crucial foundation for building trust and understanding within our family. Through this process, our family naturally learned democratic communication methods and developed an attitude of respecting each other’s opinions.
Above all, the habit of starting each day early meant we were almost never late or unprepared. Beginning the day with ease proved a greater advantage than expected, becoming an increasingly powerful asset over time. Since our daily rhythm naturally runs ahead, we have more time to prepare and plan than others, making it a competitive habit.
In this way, I grew up learning firsthand the importance of communication within my family and the value of diligence. I came to understand that rules aren’t just simple controls, but promises made to understand each other better. I realized that living each day with sincerity is ultimately the path to building a stronger self. The daily life of this family, which shaped who I am today, will be a precious foundation that steadily guides the direction of my life going forward.
School Days
“Getting what I wanted through part-time work”
After entering university, my parents encouraged me to develop independence. So, my father found me an apartment in Seoul and declared he would no longer interfere in my life. “Try living on your own” was the starting point. My hometown was Gwangju, and my university was in Seoul, so I naturally became independent. At the same time, I started part-time jobs to earn my living expenses.
Living on my own for the first time was much harder than I expected, and I hadn’t realized how difficult earning money could be. My parents only supported my rent and transportation costs, so I had to cover all other living expenses myself. Even juggling three tutoring jobs often wasn’t enough, forcing me to take on more work, sacrificing sleep to make ends meet. Moving between various part-time jobs was incredibly tough, but through it all, I gained a profound sense of accomplishment from building my life with my own strength.
Above all, the joy I felt when I saved up little by little amidst my busy schedule and traveled abroad is still vivid in my memory. ‘Achieving something on my own and fully enjoying the results’—it was a valuable experience that made me realize just how joyful that can be. My college years weren’t just about studying. Beyond part-time jobs, I was also actively involved in club activities, spending meaningful time. It was a period where I mingled with diverse people, prepared for contests together, and even won awards, experiencing the ‘joy of collaboration’ with my whole being.
Looking back now, that time was exhausting, yet it was when I experienced life more vividly than anyone else. Those times of standing up, choosing, and acting on my own strength became a crucial foundation for my growth into who I am today. The intense days of my student years form an important bedrock of my life and remain a source of strength that allows me to believe in myself and move forward.
Strengths and Weaknesses of My Personality
I possess a strong sense of responsibility and place great importance on seeing any task through to completion. This tendency is particularly evident in my work. During my time at a customer service center, I had to deal with a wide variety of customers. Sometimes people made demands that defied common sense, or even prank called, leading many employees to become exhausted by the work and view customer service itself as a nuisance. However, I refused to adopt that attitude toward customers. I approached every interaction with the mindset that it could be someone’s first and last consultation, striving to respond sincerely and respectfully regardless of the situation. I never treated even a prank call lightly, handling each with responsibility until the end. As a result, I was selected as an outstanding employee and assigned to handle more critical customer calls. Working at a larger desk with more responsibility, I gained recognition from my superiors and received bonuses.
I strive to act with sincerity not only in my work but also in my relationships. If I make a mistake or cause someone inconvenience, I believe it’s right to apologize first, rather than justifying the situation. My attitude of doing my best in any role and taking responsibility for even small tasks has made me a more trusted person. Thanks to these qualities, I was well-liked by the superiors I worked with and was able to maintain a pleasant and stable work life.
Of course, my personality has its shortcomings. When working, I tend to become so absorbed in the task that I sometimes fail to pay attention to my surroundings. My desire to ‘fulfill my responsibilities’ can sometimes be excessive, leading me to neglect interpersonal relationships. Therefore, outside of work hours, I consciously strive to be the one to reach out first and create a softer, more comfortable atmosphere. I am actively refining myself to maintain responsibility for my assigned tasks while also achieving harmony with those around me.
Career Experience
Customer Service Center Experience at Department Stores and Factories
My first job after graduating from university was at a department store customer service center. Department stores are demanding environments where customer traffic peaks at specific times, and sensitive customers frequently present diverse requests and complaints. Especially in the beginning, I struggled with unfamiliar customer interactions and work processes. However, over time, I realized that these situations ultimately revolve around interacting with people. After that, I began serving each customer with genuine care and gradually became more proficient in my duties. Naturally, my performance improved, and my ability to collaborate with colleagues also grew.
My primary responsibilities included handling returns and exchanges, addressing customer complaints, providing real-time consultations, and subsequently inputting program data and preparing reports. Based on this experience, my customer service skills were recognized, and I was selected as a Customer Service Manager. Subsequently, I took on more responsible roles at the factory’s customer center, including training agents, counseling underperforming staff, and conducting real-time monitoring.
Additionally, as part of the HR and General Affairs team, I handled administrative tasks including company-wide supply management and workforce management. Juggling diverse responsibilities allowed me to gain a broader perspective on organizational operations, deepening my understanding of work efficiency and the importance of teamwork. These efforts and achievements were recognized, earning me the honor of being selected as an Outstanding Employee.
The experience gained over a significant period while interacting with customers in diverse environments taught me more than just job skills. It instilled in me a genuine understanding of the importance of attitude toward people, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication within an organization. I am confident these experiences will be invaluable assets in any future endeavors.
Professional Philosophy
“Customers deserve to encounter perfect products.”
While working at the customer center, I always strived to think from the customer’s perspective rather than the employee’s. I believed that customers who invest their money and time to purchase a product should rightfully receive a product of the highest quality. Although it should be a given that products are free of defects and meet expectations, I often witnessed products entering the market in an insufficient state. I believed this should not be the norm. While contemplating how to realize this belief in a professional setting, I came across your company’s job posting.
I firmly believe that relentlessly striving to deliver perfect products to customers is the true path to serving the company. When care is poured into every single product, the company’s image improves, and customers naturally return to that brand. I consider this the most powerful form of marketing. Customer satisfaction imprints a brand more deeply and for longer than any advertisement.
Driven by this conviction, I returned to my studies to join your company in a Quality Assurance (QA) role. I wanted to contribute to delivering highly refined products to customers, and I hoped my values and efforts would be fully embodied in that process. I prepared with the desire to become someone who provides not just ‘inspection,’ but ‘trust.’
My professional philosophy is straightforward: customers deserve flawless products, and ensuring that encounter is my responsibility. Realizing that role within your company would be my greatest fulfillment.
Motivation and Aspirations
“I will work diligently with a sense of mission to serve at LG.”
Working in customer service for an extended period, I deeply understood the importance of direct customer communication. Simultaneously, I came to appreciate how crucial the QA role is at the core—managing quality and setting direction. I believe the service quality of a customer center ultimately hinges on the level of QA management. The overall level of customer service changes depending on how meticulously we monitor, how effective our training is, and how closely we manage in sync with the organization. This is why I became interested in the QA role. While steadily completing related specialized training through online courses, I came across your company’s job posting.
In my view, LG is the company that provides the most robust and highly refined services. I firmly believe that working as a QA professional at such a company would be a great honor and a tremendous growth opportunity for me. My decision to apply stems from a genuine desire to contribute to realizing the quality befitting the LG name, going beyond simply becoming a member of an organization.
If I am fortunate enough to join your company, I will always act responsibly to ensure I do not tarnish the LG name. I will always carry the pride of being an ‘LG employee’ in my heart and give my utmost effort to every task assigned. During my time at the customer center, I meticulously noted aspects where I thought, ‘I wish QA could play this role.’ Building on this experience, I will diligently follow your company’s training and guidelines, striving to become someone who demonstrates greater initiative and passion in practical work.
I will acknowledge my own shortcomings and maintain a constant learning attitude, becoming a team member who actively responds to change and development. If given the opportunity to grow, I will repay it with commensurate results. Thank you.
