“With the tenacity of a Jindo dog”
Early in my tenure, I parked my car in an alley and went out for a meal. Just as my food arrived, an unfamiliar number called. It was a report that a car had scraped mine while parked in the alley and fled the scene. Sure enough, the right side of my rear bumper was slightly scratched. But if the driver hadn’t fled, a simple “Be careful next time” would have sufficed. I was so annoyed by the hit-and-run driver that I reported it to the police. Luckily, there was a CCTV camera nearby. However, it was nighttime and the CCTV quality was poor, so only the rear view of the hit-and-run vehicle and the first two digits of its license plate were barely visible. The officer in charge seemed resigned, showing little enthusiasm for solving the case. But I’m the type of person who, when problems arise, must find the cause and devise a solution. As soon as I got home, I started searching through photos of similar vehicles from A to Z. And within a day, I found a photo matching the getaway car. Only then did the officer actively look up the front license plate number of the vehicle I had identified. A few days later, I received a phone call informing me they had located the hit-and-run vehicle.
I believe managing quality and conducting inspections is the same. When a quality issue arises, you must analyze the product’s production process, identify the cause, and then devise countermeasures to prevent recurrence. In short, it requires the tenacity of a Jindo dog. I am confident I am the best person for this job.

“Persuading with objective facts the other party can accept”
I have a dream of one day running a company trading with the Chinese market. To achieve this dream, I promised myself I would never stop studying Chinese while working.
Coincidentally, I once applied to a company that paid less but allowed leaving at 5:30 PM. After securing a promise of punctual departure, I enrolled in a Chinese language school near the office the day before starting. My role involved simple tasks like managing logistics in Excel, easily finishable within working hours. Yet on my first day, no one left until after 6 PM. I had class at the academy, so I asked for understanding and left first. Then my colleagues started whispering, questioning how a new hire could leave on the dot. I wanted to say the originally promised time was 5:30 PM, but I held back. Then, on the third day, the team leader unilaterally announced that we had to stay until 6:30 PM until the company was settled. I decided I had to fix this situation somehow. Prepared to resign if necessary, I requested a meeting with the team leader to express my thoughts. I told him I would complete all assigned tasks within working hours and asked him to honor the originally agreed-upon departure time. I added that if I couldn’t finish the work, I would stay late without complaint. Initially, my team leader refused, saying one person couldn’t disrupt the company atmosphere. But when I emphasized again that it wouldn’t interfere with work, he backed down, saying I could handle it as long as it didn’t harm others. I tried to convey my thoughts using objective facts the other party could accept, rather than just complaining. By refraining from harsh language and stating my position politely yet clearly, I managed to secure the agreement without much difficulty.

“My ‘side gig’ is being a cultural tourism guide”
Though I don’t have extensive experience, I’ve realized something through my work: to maintain mental health and work harder, you must hold onto what brings vitality to your life. To achieve my ultimate life goal, I’ve been consistently studying Chinese while working at the company.
I’m not just studying in a classroom; recently, I’ve also been active as a ‘Seoul Cultural Tourism Guide’. This role involves providing in-depth and engaging explanations about history, culture, heritage sites, and landscapes to domestic and international travelers. I provide on-site commentary for Chinese tourists. They enrich their travel memories through my guidance, while I gain firsthand cultural insights by conversing with locals—truly a win-win. Recently, with many Chinese tourists in their 20s and 30s visiting Korea, I also enjoy the advantage of conducting free market research on the cosmetics they favor. Although the COVID-19 pandemic temporarily halted my on-site guiding work, I plan to continue this job steadily going forward.

“I will become a key player in K-Beauty with a meticulous and sincere attitude.”
I believe responsibility is an essential competency for quality control work. If one skips time-consuming tests out of laziness or lies about completing them, it might pass for now, but it could lead to bigger issues like product recalls. I possess a stronger sense of responsibility than anyone and am confident I can perform assigned tasks diligently. Furthermore, I believe quality control work requires a foundation of understanding laws related to product manufacturing and meticulousness. No matter how good a product is, if it doesn’t meet standards within the legal framework, it becomes useless. I monitor the latest domestic and international regulations and respond swiftly. Given the high volume of paperwork inherent in this role, I plan to acquire document drafting skills and certifications like MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) in document processing.
The K-Beauty trend is now surpassing the K-pop market. I aspire to become a key player in the K-Beauty industry, which is expanding beyond China and Southeast Asia to reach the entire world. I will work diligently with the mindset that the company’s growth is my growth, and my growth is the company’s growth.
