What Makes a Self-Introduction Letter Suitable for a CCTV Company in the Industry of Technology and Trust?

This blog post introduces how to write a self-introduction letter suitable for the CCTV industry, where technology and trust are key, and highlights the core competencies you should emphasize.

My Background

My parents, both working full-time, always felt guilty that they couldn’t devote enough time to my younger sibling, who was born later in their lives. In contrast, when I was young, my mother was often at home, so we spent a lot of time together. Naturally, I grew up receiving more attention and affection. However, the situation was different for my sibling, who is six years younger. Seeing my younger sibling have less time with our mother from an early age made me feel sorry for them and concerned. Perhaps because of this, I began to look after my sibling more attentively, and in the process, I gradually learned the mindset of caring for and taking responsibility for someone else.
Before my sibling was born, I think I had a strong self-centered tendency. If I wanted to do something, I would try to do it first rather than compromise, and ‘I’ was always at the center of my thoughts. But after my sibling arrived, I naturally started thinking of them first instead of myself. I even learned to set aside my own desires and make choices for my sibling’s sake. This change didn’t stay confined to home. At school, it led me to look out for my friends first, listen to their situations, and act considerately. Perhaps because of this, my friends often called me by the nickname ‘Mom’.
Honestly, it felt a bit strange and awkward at first, but over time, that nickname actually started to feel rewarding. I believe a ‘mom’ is a precious presence to anyone, someone who gives love unconditionally. Being remembered as such by my friends might mean I was someone meaningful to them. So, I was even more willing to look out for my friends, sometimes offering advice, and never hesitating to share their difficulties. Through these experiences, I naturally developed a sense of responsibility and grew into a meticulous person who pays close attention to even small details.
Looking back, I realize anew how profoundly caring for and looking after someone transformed me. Thanks to my younger sibling, I learned the value of consideration and responsibility early on, and I am certain those experiences became crucial building blocks for who I am today. Moving forward, I aspire to remain a person who retains warmth and responsibility in the wider world, grounded in this mindset.

School Life

Nicknamed ‘Mom’ for my strong survival skills, I started various part-time jobs right after entering university to cover my own expenses. Experiencing different part-time roles naturally helped me develop adaptability to society, and through this process, I was able to gradually improve the skills I lacked.
My first part-time job was selling cosmetics at a downtown department store. This store was popular with foreigners, so a significant portion of customers were international. However, my limited foreign language skills meant I would naturally shrink back when serving foreign customers. To overcome this, I used the money I earned from my part-time job to start attending an English academy. Of course, language learning is an area where noticeable results are hard to achieve quickly, but through consistent study, I gradually became less afraid of interacting with foreigners.
During this time, I heard that the language school I attended was recruiting part-time staff from among its students. I applied immediately and was hired. My main duties involved assisting with front desk tasks and tidying up classrooms before and after classes. Working at the desk exposed me to various administrative tasks, making me keenly aware of the necessity for computer skills. I realized that the more proficient I was in document creation, the more efficiently I could handle my duties. Consequently, I started with word processing and eventually obtained a computer skills certification.
Through these diverse part-time experiences, I developed practical abilities while also ensuring my university studies did not suffer. I diligently attended classes and maintained high grades, building not only my major knowledge but also the practical skills I needed. Looking back, my college years were more than just a time for learning; they were a valuable period that helped shape my life more solidly.

Strengths, Weaknesses, and Life Philosophy

My greatest strengths are my thoroughness and my meticulous care for others. From a young age, I naturally developed habits of consideration and attentiveness towards others, which helped me build warm, trusting relationships with those around me. I make a point to note down friends’ and acquaintances’ birthdays and special occasions in advance, ensuring I never forget to acknowledge them. Seeing someone genuinely happy when I remember and act on something they casually mentioned brings me great satisfaction. I believe this aspect is why I maintain smooth interpersonal relationships and can cherish connections for the long term. This tendency is particularly a clear strength in the administrative department, where I must attentively consider employees’ diverse needs and situations. It allows me to function as a warm and dependable presence, like a ‘company mom’.
However, if I have a weakness, it’s that I find it difficult to refuse others’ requests. My tendency to try to accommodate requests rather than decline them has sometimes led me to worry that I might come across as indecisive. To improve this, I’ve been making a consistent effort lately to carefully consider the details of a request when it’s made, and to judge whether it’s truly something I can help with. I’m also learning that a firm refusal doesn’t necessarily disappoint the other person; rather, showing a clear stance builds trust. Through this practice, I am gradually growing into a more decisive person. Moving forward, I aim to maintain warmth in my relationships while also becoming someone who makes responsible choices and takes action.
