Personal Growth
My parents chose to leave the city and embrace a life surrounded by nature for me, as I struggled greatly with skin issues during my childhood. While this decision was not easy for them, growing up immersed in nature allowed me to develop an adaptable and environmentally conscious mindset. I am forever grateful for the sacrifice my parents made—leaving their jobs at a mid-sized company in the city—for my sake. Looking at photos from my childhood, my entire body was so reddened that I looked like I was born with red skin. Yet, after just five years living in nature, I regained healthy skin. My parents paid meticulous attention to every single thing we ate and began cultivating our own crops by tending a vegetable garden themselves. Watching them, I realized the wonder of nature and how much care and effort is required to grow crops, fostering a constant gratitude for the healthy growth of our produce. My health also significantly changed my parents’ eating habits and lifestyle. My father, who had always worked sitting down and carried excess abdominal fat, gradually regained his health living in nature, visibly shedding his belly. My mother, who used to frequently catch colds during seasonal changes due to weak immunity, also gained stronger stamina than ever before thanks to this life connected to nature. Thanks to these changes, our family felt like we were living a second life. The stark difference in our health before and after moving allowed us to enjoy vibrant daily lives. My father deeply felt nature’s greatness and always emphasized the importance of protecting it. He told us never to forget that while purifying nature is extremely difficult, polluting it with a moment’s carelessness is all too easy. I deeply resonate with his words. Just as I share the preciousness of nature with others, I aspire to be someone who sells your company’s products with a heart that genuinely connects with customers. This experience of growing alongside nature is not merely a memory for me; it has become a guiding principle in life. It will continue to be a strong foundation for preserving nature’s value and conveying sincerity to people.
School Days
During my school days, I naturally drew my friends’ attention with my innate manual dexterity from childhood. I especially loved drawing and often sketched my friends’ faces, sometimes creating caricatures that captured their distinctive features. Though I was interested in art and music, I never studied them professionally, so I gave up on attending art college early on and decided to keep art and music as lifelong hobbies. After entering university, I joined the school band and began playing the drums. Though I had never formally learned, I actively sought opportunities from seniors based on my natural sense of rhythm and passion for the band. Thanks to their high regard for my efforts, I gained the chance to play. Having worked so hard to get in, I always threw myself into practice. While I learned directly from seniors, I also took drum lessons at the community center, putting in even more effort. This dedication stemmed from a sense of responsibility – I didn’t want to let the team down. A band doesn’t produce good sound just because one person plays well; it’s only when everyone harmonizes together that they can truly bring joy to people.
Through my college band activities, I performed on countless stages. My heart pounded like it would burst on my first stage, but as I gradually grew accustomed to performing, I discovered I could actually enjoy being on stage. Participating in the band club, communicating and collaborating with others, seems to have made me more proactive and bold—I feel this was a significant personal change. I also held a deep interest in nature and served as president of a university-wide environmental club. Our club went beyond just practicing nature conservation activities; we worked hard to raise awareness about the importance of protecting the natural environment by holding discussions and seminars on the environment with middle and high school students. I always believe that motivation to turn knowledge into action is paramount, and I will continue to strive as a practicing intellectual.
These diverse experiences during my school years have become a valuable foundation for my life, and I plan to keep growing based on them.
Strengths and Weaknesses
The greatest strength of my character is maintaining a consistent demeanor. People around me call me a ‘consistent person,’ and I truly appreciate this description. It signifies that my initial mindset and attitude remain steadfast and unwavering. In practice, I strive to never lose sight of my original intentions and work hard to avoid complacency. I believe the most dangerous moment is when I think, ‘Only I can do this.’ I firmly believe there is almost nothing one can accomplish alone, so cooperation with others is absolutely essential. I treat others with an unpretentious and honest attitude, which is why I am seen as genuine, and this is also why I have many friends. I always keep in mind that people are the greatest asset, and I strive to cherish and maintain relationships once formed. Having spent much of my childhood alone in nature, I gained nature as a good friend, but I always regret not making more friends with whom I could communicate and share my heart. I believe this experience is the driving force behind my fondness for people and my desire to maintain long-lasting relationships. I believe consideration and trust are the most fundamental elements for lasting relationships. Therefore, I always strive to see things from the other person’s perspective and am careful not to betray their trust.
On the other hand, my innocent and simple image sometimes carries the risk of being easily taken advantage of. However, as someone who values trust between people above all else, I don’t necessarily see this simplicity as solely a disadvantage. Instead, I will strive to let my innocence shine as a positive trait. Moving forward, I aim to consistently show consideration for others, build trust, and make the most of my unique personality strengths. With this unwavering mindset and genuine sincerity toward people, I wish to cultivate better relationships.
Career History (or experience demonstrating work capabilities)
My first sales role was at a dairy company. There, my responsibilities extended beyond simply delivering milk to include attracting new customers. Initially, all this work felt overwhelming. Especially during summer, sitting under the scorching sun for 3-4 hours trying to attract customers became routine, while also delivering milk early in the morning. Most of my peers who joined at the same time quit within a week to a month. However, since I was also responsible for sales management duties, I couldn’t easily give up due to my sense of responsibility.
Steeling my resolve and determined to become the ‘best milk salesperson,’ I became more proactive in my promotions. I did my utmost, employing various methods to capture people’s attention. These efforts gradually began to bear fruit, resulting in a doubling of new customer applications. My consistent effort and results were recognized, leading to a promotion to team leader level. This achievement, earned through hard work, was deeply meaningful and truly heartwarming.
This experience taught me profoundly how crucial it is to never give up, to take responsibility, and to see tasks through to the end, even amidst difficulties. I will continue to do my best with this mindset, no matter what challenges come my way.
Motivation for Application and Aspirations
Muhammad Ali once said, “People are afraid to challenge themselves because they lack faith. But I have faith in myself.” I too started in sales within the dairy industry, but subsequently gained consistent experience across diverse fields, including operating a mobile phone retail store and serving as a Mass Sales intern for a mobile carrier. While there is no royal road to sales, I have always walked this path with the belief that ‘I can do it.’ And it is with the firm goal of becoming ‘the best salesperson’ that I am applying to your company. If given the opportunity to work with your company, I will be an employee who approaches work proactively and energetically, driven by passion and initiative. I will not just think things through in my head; I will be a talent who creates results by rolling up my sleeves and taking action. I want to be someone who contributes tangibly to your company by leveraging my best sales capabilities. With this mindset and attitude, I aim to grow and develop alongside your company.
